Today the children presented the plays that they have been working on for the last week or so. This work was a natural progression from the poetry competition which everyone did so well in last term.
The focus was on:
- using clear and interesting voices
- making the actions fit the words
- following along while others read so you knew when to come in
- facing the audience while speaking, but still looking like you were actually talking to other characters
- keeping in role when the action was off you
I think you'll agree, once you've watched the videos below, that the Room 17 actors have done a splendid job of all the focus points. The audience of Year One classes certainly thought so!
