Singing Celebration

We had a successful trip into town yesterday to share the beautiful singing we've been doing together in the second part of the year.
When we discussed our trip yesterday afternoon, we talked about how grateful we were that there was somewhere we could gather together. Although we felt sad about how damaged the part of town we drove beside was, we felt pleased that we could see that work was being done to rebuild Christchurch city.
We thought it felt exciting to sing in a large group and we felt particularly proud of singing in a round. We liked the ideas in the song "For the Children." We loved having our families watching us sing. We feel very lucky to have such a talented singing teacher as Ms Emeleus, and that her lovely father comes each week to play piano for us.
We think it is funny to have grass that you are not allowed to walk on in a school.

While we waited for the bus to come and pick us up, we went into the museum to look at the Hearts for Christchurch exhibition. We felt happy that so many people from all over the world had made patchwork hearts for the people of Christchurch to let us know they are thinking of us. We are pleased that next week we have an opportunity to pay forward that kindness to the old people at Ngaio Marsh.

Thanks Maddie for your reminders about photos and posts for the blog. It has been a busy week and your help has been great.
