At Last a Parcel For Room Seventeen!

The latest mystery parcel to arrive in Room 17.
Some keen writers chose to write about it in independent
reading time today.

Just before we started reading the phone rang, it was Mrs Ross. Jacob sprinted to the phone. There was a parcel at the office - it wasn't for Ms Ashby, it was for the children. On the parcel it said:

Room 17
St Albans School
17 Sheppard Place
Christchurch 8014

It had has a brown paper wrapping and a sheet with the words on. It feels like clothes.

The Parcel Story

Just before we had started reading the phone rang. It was Mrs Ross to say there was a parcel. It was not for Ms Ashby this time, it was for us. On the parcel it said:

Room 17

St Albans School

17 Sheppard Place

Christchurch 8014

It is in a very funny parcel. It is all covered in a yellowy greyish colour. It has also got a weird stamp on it.

I think the thing inside the parcel is the kiwi that Emma had to encourage Ms Ashby to send around the world.

We will find out, probably after reading, at least I think so.

The Parcel Story

We had just started reading and were organising a play when the phone rang. Jacob went to answer it. It was Mrs Ross saying that there was a parcel in the office.

Whoopee! It was for us - not Ms Ashby. Olivia went and got it.

The parcel wasn't very pretty but it was caramel brown and this is what it said:

Room 17

St Albans School

17 Sheppard Place

Christchurch 8014

I think inside the parcel is a kiwi to send around the world. Emma had to encourage Ms Ashby to get it.

I think we will open it after reading.

I feel excited and can't wait.

Today Room 17 were having reading when the phone rang. It was Mrs Ross saying there was a parcel for Room 17.

Ms Ashby sent Olivia to get it. When she came back I got a shock. The parcel was not like the parcel we had had recently.

It was  light brown, light and squishy.

I think it is a kiwi to send around the world.

I feel happy Room 17 has finally got a parcel!

Emma

The Parcel

Just before we started reading the phone rang, I answered it. It was Mrs Ross on the other end. There was a parcel at the office for Room 17.

Olivia went to get it. On the parcel it said:

Room 17

St Albans School

17 Sheppard Place

Christchurch 8014

The parcel is covered in brown paper. It has a funny stamp on it. It also has other markings on it.

I think it is a kiwi. We will find out soon.

Jacob

Today in Room 17 Olivia got asked to go to the office and when she came back she had a parcel for the whole class. On the parcel it said:

Room 17

St Albans School

17 Sheppard Place

Christchurch 8014

It feels like it is wrapped up in bubble wrap. I think that in the parcel there is a teddy bear for some Assemblies when a classroom wins the cleanest classroom. They will get it for a week until another assembly and then another classroom will get it.

I hope that if it is a teddy bear for Assemblies that Room 17 gets the teddy bear. I really do want to get that teddy bear!

All will be revealed tomorrow!
