Pairs to Ten Cards

Hey kids - don't forget to practise with those pairs to ten cards we made at school the other day. They should be in your reading folder.  If for some reason you've not got them at home you could make another set.
How to Make a Set of Pairs to Ten cards

You will need: six pieces of card or thick paper that are plain on each side , a pen

Directions: On one side of each card write one number 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and a little 10 with a circle around it in one corner
On the back of the card with the 0 on it write a 10
On the back of the card with the 1 on it write a 9
On the back of the card with the 2 on it write an 8
On the back of the card with the 3 on it write a 7
On the back of the card with the 4 on it write  6
On the back of the card with the 5 on it write a 5
Write a little 10 with a circle around it in one corner of the cards on this side too.

Now you can practise: Lie all the cards on the ground in front of you.
Look at the number you can see and say the number that goes with that one to make ten.
Flip it over to check if you were correct.
Keep going, this game never has to end!
If you're getting pretty good at it why don't you ask someone to test how well you can do it.

Good luck and have fun!
