Sarah is a librarian at the Shirley branch of the Christchurch City Libraries. She didn't always want to be a librarian but she HAS always loved books. She did train and work as a mechanic for a while, but it was when she was working for the Salvation Army that she realised that she really enjoyed helping people. She decided that being a librarian would be a good way of doing that. Sarah was in Auckland when she applied for her job on-line, that means on the computer. She sent her C.V. ( a letter with information about her smarts and her life experiences) to Christchurch and eventually she got the job. Sarah said she needs to be word and number smart for her job. She knows she is doing her job well when people leave the library feeling happy.
