Sally has a job after school and in the weekend at a supermarket. She works at the checkout. Her favourite thing about working is getting paid. She likes to buy shoes and working lets her do that. Even though Sally doesn't really enjoy all of her job she does enjoy meeting people and has made many friends with the other students who are working on the checkouts. She enjoys talking to people and gets the chance to do this as part of her job.Sally got her job by applying at lots of different supermarkets. She had to wait until she was 15 years old.
Sally loves to play the saxaphone. She is in three musical groups - two at school (the concert band and the jazz band) and the Christchurch Youth Jazz Orchestra. She said it is important when you are in a band to do your best and work with the others. If everybody just did their own thing it would sound awful!
